Andrew Herzog
Studio A.H. is the art and research practice of Andrew Herzog. His medium-agnostic practice examines the constructed boundaries between humanity and the natural world. Fatherhood and caregiving shape these inquiries, informing investigations into masculinity, lineage, and the proliferation of human systems amid the Anthropocene. In an effort to establish an accessible language for his work, he draws on his background in creative technology and graphic design and utilizes recognizable materials, methodologies, and mechanisms. He has been awarded a fellowship at the American Academy in Rome, the Prix Ars Electronica Golden Nica, and the MuseumsQuartier Wien Art & Ecology residency, among other awards and residencies. His paintings, films, sculptures, and installations have been exhibited internationally.
